What is Relationship Counselling?

Relationship counselling is a type of therapy that helps people improve their relationship by addressing challenges, enhancing communication and deepening emotional understanding.  Guided by a trained therapist, individuals explore patterns of conflict, identify unmet needs and learn practical tools to manage differences more constructively.  The aim is not only to resolve current issues but also to strengthen the relationship's foundation, fostering greater empathy, trust and connection between partners.

Relationship counselling can benefit relationships at any stage - whether partners are seeking to rebuild after conflict or infidelity, adapt to life changes or simply nurture a stronger bond.  Relationship counselling can also be used to improve non-romantic relationships, such as with siblings, parents, colleagues or friends, and can also benefit those in a polyamorous relationship, a throuple, quad or V.
