What is Person-Centred Counselling?

Person-centred counselling is based on the belief that we all have the capacity for personal growth and self-healing, given the right conditions. This approach places you at the heart of the therapeutic process, viewing you as the expert in your own experience.

The core principle of person-centred counselling is that we are all inherently capable of finding our own solutions to problems. Rather than directing or diagnosing, I will provide a supportive, non-judgemental environment where you feel safe to explore your thoughts and feelings freely.

Person-centred counselling is typically non-directive, meaning I do not lead the conversation or offer advice.  Instead, I follow your lead, encouraging self-exploration and personal insight. This empowers you to become more self-aware and self-accepting, leading to improved psychological well-being.
